Yoga For Pain Program
Increased physical movement is one of the most essential elements for successful pain care, but it is not a one-size-fits-all application. At Seva Yoga Therapy, our clients use specific mindful-based yoga movements as well as breathing and relaxation techniques that are designed to address their individual pain triggers and gently increase their mobility.
The yoga movements are mindfully tailored to the client and done safely and correctly under the guidance of an IAYT-certified yoga therapist so that no more damage is incurred. Yoga, when used from this therapeutic standpoint, begins to relieve pain and muscular tension, fostering greater flexibility, ease of movement, and self-reliance. Self-awareness and self-regulation improve, and feelings of fear and isolation are reduced as mobility and physical self-confidence return.
